Master Contractors LLC was the contractor conducting the installation of the loading and measuring devices necessary to perform a diagnostic load testing and monitoring of the lateral-load resisting systems for seating sections at the Football Stadium of the University of Notre Dame. The objectives of the lateral-load system evaluation was determining if the ability of the Old Bowl Stadium lateral-load system to resist the code-prescribed 24 plf (pound per linear foot) lateral loads (parallel to the seating rows) was adversely affected by the removal of portions of infill masonry walls during the addition of the New Bowl of the stadium.
